Boreas Maritime gifts Christmas donation to the KNRM (Royal Dutch Sea Rescue Association)

17 December 2018

Gorinchem, the Netherlands

Boreas Maritime bv, headquartered in the Netherlands, has gifted a 2,500 euro donation to the KNRM (Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij / Royal Dutch Sea Rescue Association).

Established in 1824, the KNRM is an independent, professional rescue organisation. Each year, 1,300 professionally trained volunteers save more than 3,000 people at sea. These volunteers are on 24-hour standby and operate under all weather conditions.

It is thanks to financial donations that the KNRM can provide rescue services free of charge to those who need them. Therefore, out of respect for the industry they operate in and the people they serve, Boreas Maritime gladly places a donation with this life-saving association.

Boreas Maritime Operations Director, Pascal Bounin, says of the donation: “Boreas Maritime is very happy to be able to gift this donation to the KNRM. The services they provide are not only unique in this country, but also extremely valued by our network and their families. While we of course hope that our clients will never require these services, we fully acknowledge the need for donations to keep this wonderful Association operational. At this time of giving, and in spirit of the season, we are honoured to offer our contribution towards their future success”.
