Boreas Maritime expands operations with regional office in Lagos, Nigeria

Boreas Maritime bv, headquartered in the Netherlands, announces the opening of a regional office in Lagos, Nigeria. This latest expansion ensures a local presence through which Boreas Maritime can provide a total package throughout
West Africa, whilst continuing the company’s mission of ensuring the highest level of customer service.
The new branch is a cooperation between Boreas Maritime and Red Offshore Nigeria Ltd, one of the leading providers in the industry. Founded in 2005, Red Offshore Nigeria Ltd is a rapidly growing project logistics and vessel agency focussing on the oil & gas industry in West Africa. The company consists of an experienced team of professionals working out of offices in Nigeria, Angola, Cameroon, Benin and Ghana. Remko Cannegieter, Managing Director of Red Offshore Nigeria Ltd, is enthusiastic about the new venture: “This new cooperation will serve to strengthen both our presence and offerings within the West African region, and we look forward to increasing our activity in this growing market”.
Boreas Maritime will staff the office in Lagos with its own team together with staff members from Red Offshore Nigeria Ltd, offering services of crew management, vessel and husbandry services, ship operator support and international freight management solutions. Operations Director, Pascal Bounin, is pleased with the expansion: “At Boreas Maritime, we pride ourselves on operating to the highest level of customer service, in all the markets and industries we work in. This latest cooperation ensures that we can expand our services throughout local markets in West Africa, where our own team will be standing by for long term and ad hoc vacancies, for both expat and local Nigerian crew”.
